ELEGANT SEATED GUAN YIN
Graceful expression seated in rajalilasana or ‘the posture of royal ease’, decorated crown on top of chignon, shawl draped over shoulders, casual dhoti falling gracefully around the legs, thin eyebrows, large dangling chain necklace across exposed chest, and long extended earlobes, traces of original paint over wood with normal stable cracks due to the significant age.

PAIR OF GIANT RUYI-HOLDING BODHISATTVA
Pair of Bodhisattva, one standing tall and the other one seated in 'Royal Ease'. Both heavily accessorized with beaded pearl necklace with diamond-shaped pointed end, large neck pendent, elaborate crown, and holding a large 'Ruyi' or '如意'. The Ruyi symbolizes power, blessings, and good fortune.

GIANT STANDING BUDDHA
Giant standing Buddha with gilded full face in benevolent expression and ungilded curly throughout. Wearing a loose-fitting dhoti draped across body with both hands 'vitarka mudra' or also known as the 'Gesture of Debate', a gesture that carries the meaning of wisdom, energy, knowledge, and enlightenment. It is most often used in Buddhist teaching towards the path of enlightenment and is closely associated with the transmission of the knowledge from the guru to the student. The circle formed with the index finger and the thumb signifies perfection - like there is no beginning or end. There is a constant flow of energy through the body and from the guru to the student.

Finely carved black wooden Guan Yin sitting in lacquered mediating guanyin seated in Dhyana Mudra on top of thick base wearing decorated Buddha-paneled cap with long thin headband draped to shoulders and long flowing robe with beaded necklace.

DRUM KIT FOR THE AFTERLIFE
Pair of lacquered Black Bird and Guardian Animal with a now-missing bird head, drum and stand. The drum kit is buried with the deceased to protect and entertain them in their afterlife. Traces of detailed red paint sketched throughout the animals to add more ‘life’.

PAIR OF MYTHICAL FOO DOG WALL DECORATION
Foo dogs are often found in front of palaces or temples and is a natural symbol of peace and good luck. Gilt painted wooden foo dogs in full gold body with large thick nose and wide nostrils, head tilted to the side to mirror each other, clawed paws, and open mouth with red lips, wavy textured whiskers, beard, and bushy tail.
